I founded QuranJS after noticing how much code I was repeating across Quran-related projects. The idea was to make that shared work useful to other JavaScript developers too.
From repeated code to a shared tool
The first package, @quranjs/api, provided a simple SDK for working with the Quran.com API. It gave developers a starting point for accessing Quran data without rebuilding the same integration for each application.
QuranJS became part of the Quran organization. Its official documentation now lives in the Quran Foundation developer portal, where the JavaScript SDK continues to be maintained.
